l am thrilled to announce some May Buzz.  First, I will be lecturing at MakerFaire May 19th streaming LIVE at 4:30 PST on "Hacking Healthcare:  How Makers can Save Medicine."  I'm nervous, but I'm actually going to be a bit controversial.  Second, The Rheumatologist has featured us in the May Issue, with some adult input that was even new to me!

 The Heinlein Society also this month is telling the sto how being adopted by my hero helped propel Buzzy.  An appearance on the Gerri Willis Report on Fox Business was fantastic, and a great and comprehensive article in the May edition of MORE magazine's Second Acts series is now on Newstands.  Wall Street Journal: The Idea Person! As a huge fan of the eTrade baby ads, getting first billing on this article on innovation and Creativity was satisfying.  Given our recent Top 10 Innovative Companies in Georgia Best Presentation shout out, we're really taking off.

"Best $40 I ever spent." - Atlanta mom to her pediatrician (who happens to be a friend, so I got the text as breaking news.) One of the best parts of having made Buzzy is the feedback I get.  The other great thing is the research and growing attention to pain management that Buzzy has generated.  Doctors, nurses, and dentists who care about their patients are spontaneously researching Buzzy.  After our NIH and Mayday Fund sponsored clinical trials showed Buzzy's efficacy, people started studying Buzzy around the world.  DistrACTION cards were proven effective in Turkey; Buzzy helped people get over their needle fear in New Zealand.  Possibly the best thing, though is hearing about people using Buzzy in ways I never dreamed of.  Shingles, laser hair removal, diabetes, arthritis shots, dialysis, fertility shots, splinters, clogged milk ducts, and even tickling a baby's tummy to keep it from trying to roll off the changing table.  Let me know how YOU use Buzzy on our facebook page!
