You know, we get asked about free samples a lot.  I can't blame you, I ask for free samples a lot!  Especially of chocolate at those places that make fudge in tourist trap locations.  They have so much, and often they say yes, how reinforcing!

The issue with samples and Buzzy is that most of the pediatric offices that are using them really only need one or two. Even the busiest offices here in Atlanta can get by with a couple, because there are rarely times when more than three shots or procedures happens at the same time. I did send a few samples out initially, and while one of the offices has subsequently ordered replacement ice packs in bulk, they seem to be making do with one. As you can replace the batteries, we may never end up actually selling them a Buzzy.

It’s a business flaw but a philosophical success; I wanted something reusable and much cheaper than topical anesthetics or vapocoolant, and Buzzy is. It does mean that we operate in a VERY different way than your typical “send a drug rep out”. The one place I’ve sent samples is the endocrine offices, because Buzzy is really good for distal extremities and places where vibration is transmitted easily (i.e., hips, jaws, heels, hands). So the local endocrine offices are promoting Buzzy for fingersticks and parents are buying them for home testing and insulin use.

Sorry not to be more useful for you….they’re only $35 bucks, though. You’re not out much if you don’t like it.
