Dr. Amy,

I would like to ask if there is a way to save your instructional videos to a DVD. We can't view those at work because it is against policy. I have viewed them at home, and I really think that it would be very helpful to the staff to see the kids and how they react to having a procedure with Buzzy. I use technology at work but am not the most savvy when it comes to the things 20 yr olds do without trouble. I downloaded the You Tube downloader but couldn't figure out how to covert them to being able to view them on my laptop or save them to DVD. Vimeo also has me stymied. Is there a way we could obtain those. I really would like to have them available for everyone to view, and to make believers of new hires too. I could ask someone to show it on their smart phone but that would not be a tool we could use continually to train everyone and would not be convenient to show 30 or 40 people (our phlebotomy staff and nurses too). We expand next week and want to be as ready as possible. Do you have any suggestions.

Also, I have been thinking of how to attach Buzzy without using the velcro strap (we throw the tourniquets away after each use to prevent spread of bacteria) but also to use the tourniquet as we are comfortable with (we tie at the top, not underneath and it would be awkward to remove it as we usually do if buzzy were attached with it.) I think we can use co-flex bandage to do the same thing, use the tourniquet as we usually do for blood draws, and then throw them both away after the procedure. That one had me stumped till I had a flash of inspiration the other day. Well as you can see, I am very caught up in this. I presented to our Leadership staff of our ED and Pediatric initiative, none of whom had seen Buzzy. I think we will be buying more, and if they work like I believe they will, quite a few in the future.

Hi, MOllie!

For some reason this message got missed, and for that I apologize.

Absolutely, we'll work on getting the instructional videos on DVD, and will also be having a live Webinar sometime before spring.

The Curlex is a good idea (if that's what you're describing). We're working with other ideas as well, threading the tourniquet hole is probably a good start but not the optimal repeat IV use option.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you wish: info@mmjlabs.com and we can discuss further.
