WOULD THE PRODUCT LMX 4 BE EFFECTIVE FOR AN INGROWN TOENAIL REMOVAL ON AN ADULT IN THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE ?

Nope. Ingrown toenails hurt like crazy pretty deep inside, and LMX absorbs through the skin's surface. Since toe skin is pretty thick, especially around the nail, you're not going to get much bang for your buck there. What an ingrown toenail needs is a digital nerve block with 2% lidocaine or bupivicaine at the base of the toe where the nerves cluster. That said, I have used both LMX4 and Buzzy to make injection of lidocaine better for nerve blocks. Put LMX4 on the bases of the toe where the shots will go and leave for at least 20 minutes, or press Buzzy on the bone below the big toe while injecting. If you warm the lidocaine and buffer with 10% NaBicarb it won't sting so much. Good luck!
