I was appropriately trained on this device 100%
The product/equipment is easy to use 100%
The product/equipment is safe to use in a pediatric setting 89%
The product/equipment is clinically and developmentally appropriate for use in infants 89%     Not for use with very small infants
The product/equipment performs its intended purpose and is acceptable 89%     not effective
Adequate training was provided in order to use this product/equipment 100%
Patient satisfaction/comfort will improve or remain the same by using this product/equipment 100%
I would recommend this product/equipment for use 89%

Major advantages of this product/equipment: Pain control
Reduces pain for needle sticks and allows easier draws of blood
Provides distraction to children age 3-10 some of the 2 year olds were afraid
of the BEE.  Does help with the pain less patients jerked their arm as
needle was inserted so much have reduced pain as that is normal response
No expiration date and easy to use
Keeps the patients mind off the needle stick
It's a distraction technique.  The kids seem to like the bee
  Distracts pediatric patient during procedure
Major disadvantages of this product/equipment: Vibration
Parental stress, sometimes parents are sure the won't work before you try
Makes the child uncomfortable and cold .. Makes the tips numb
    Can't be used on infants
Sometimes it is not appropriate if things need to be done in a hurry
Some of the kids did not like the cold pack
Some pediatric patients did not care for buzzing on the arm
No real disadvantage, but I did think that the frozen packs were too cold
for younger children.  I tried getting them to "thaw slightly" or using
a paper towel between the cold pack and the arm, this seemed
to be better received and did not leave red spot on the arm from the cold
Would you recommend to try another product No,
Comments The lab was able use Buzzy more than the nurses.  Although the
med techs were slow to start using the device, once they got used to it
they used it more and more. The nurses did not want to take the time
to use it.  Not effective on leg intramuscular shots.
It makes older children uncomfortable, cold
Really think this is a bonus for the patient, would like the flippet cards to be
larger so they would present visual of the needle stick.  I found that if I
asked the questions for the flippet cards it works much better, the parents
don't seem to be able to multi task with holding the child and reading the
    questions.
